The SBi rHead™ proximal radial head prosthesis is an anatomic design. The prosthesis is available in multiple sizes that accommodate the anthropomorphic variations in radial head size. The concave articular surface of the radial head component is designed to anatomically articulate with the convexity of the capitellum. The radial stem is curved to match the intramedullary contour of the proximal radius and can be used with or without bone cement. The head and stem components are coupled together using a Morse taper and are modular to accommodate patient anatomy. The rHead™ matches the normal proximal radioulnar joint articulation, preserves the annular ligament and minimizes release for exposure of the important lateral ulnar collateral ligament.
