Rigid
fixation promotes early rehabilitation. The patented tines
of the SCS™ Dorsal Distal Radius Plates engage the strong
subchondral bone of the fragments and are designed to carry loads
directly through the plate to the proximal shaft. SCS™
plates can withstand the functional demands of the immediate postoperative
period including axial loading, distal fragment rotation, osteopenia,
comminution and wrist motion.
Features
and benefits:
- Fixed
tines allow for efficient load transfer proximal to fracture
site
- Low
profile anatomic design to minimize soft tissue irritation
- Withstands
immediate post-op functional demands
- Increased
plate strength and stability
