Rigid
fixation promotes early rehabilitation. The patented tines of the
SCS™ Volar Distal Radius
Plates engage the strong subchondral
bone of the fragments and are designed to carry loads directly
through the plate to the proximal shaft. SCS™ plates
can withstand the functional demands of the immediate postoperative
period including axial loading, distal fragment rotation, osteopenia,
comminution and wrist motion.
Features and benefits:
- Construct strength and stability
withstand immediate post-op functional demands
- Fixed tines allow
for efficient load transfer to diaphyseal bone
- Fixed angle design
restores and maintains normal 12° volar
tilt and 22° ulnar
inclination of distal radius
- Low profile anatomic design minimizes
soft tissue irritation
- Lateral width provides buttress support to
volar and styloid fracture segments
